More complications are seen with second weight-loss surgery

A small study showed one-third of patients undergoing repeat bariatric procedures reported serious complications. The Greek researchers said the findings indicate that follow-up surgeries for weight loss carry a higher risk for conditions such as internal leakage, acute kidney failure, pneumonia and hernia.
