Report outlines 25 riskiest programming errors for security

Security must be built into software development at the start of a project, urges a report on the 25 most dangerous programming mistakes that was published by the SANS Institute, the National Security Agency, McAfee and other cybersecurity organizations. The top errors include SQL structure issues, Web page structure failures and buffer overflow. "The impediment is getting security processes and technology embedded in the software-development life cycle," says Chris Wysopal, chief technology officer at Veracode.
