The blue butterfly plant can adorn the landscape with flowers that resemble butterflies, writes Gary Bachman, a horticulture professor in Mississippi. The plant flourishes when grown in a soil that receives little or no shade, and it can be central to the landscape or an addition to a flower border, Bachman notes.
