Firms lobby CFTC on proposed SEF trading rule

A rule proposed by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission that would require swaps to be traded on swaps-execution facilities spurred a flood of letters from financial firms seeking to weigh in before the comment period ends this week. Firms worry that the rule would decrease liquidity of certain markets and create pressure to bring all derivatives into electronic trading.
