PTC plan may have to wait for lame duck session, some observers say

The partisan bickering over tax policy means Congress is unlikely to discuss extending tax incentives such as the renewable-energy Production Tax Credit until the lame duck session later this year, lawmakers and lobbyists said. "It just makes it impossible to get where we need to be until after the election," said Rep. Patrick Tiberi, R-Ohio. "It's uncertainty on top of uncertainty," added Patrick Heck, a former tax counsel to members of the Senate Finance Committee.
