On YouTube, original acts rule channel lineup

Producers of acts that got their starts on YouTube are seeing the biggest subscriber bases on the site's channel lineup, while well-known acts and media properties such as Madonna and Slate magazine are struggling for subscribers. Since its launch in December, the Maker Studios show "The Moms' View" has nabbed 60,000 subscribers and 2.1 million viewers have streamed content.
