Nev. group looks for industry partners to help students

The Nevada STEM Coalition is reaching out to professionals in science, technology, engineering and math fields to help kindergarten through grade 12 students. The STEM professionals would be asked to speak to students in school or serve as mentors. "The students get a chance to see how algebra or biology apply in the real world and then they start to see why these skills are important," said Beth Wells, the coalition's executive director.
