Opinion: Latest challenges to evolution part of an ongoing battle

In a San Jose Mercury News opinion piece, Glenn Branch and Eugenie C. Scott of the National Center for Science Education say a new breed of creationists is repackaging anti-evolutionism under the guise of "intelligent design" theory. The authors say despite the best efforts of scientists and others concerned about the quality of science education, Darwin's legacy cannot be assured.
