Reports: Pepsi, Coke tie brands to clean-water projects

PepsiCo and Coca-Cola Co. have partnered with different environmental groups to bolster their green initiatives and increase tepid bottled-water sales. Pepsi reportedly has donated $2.5 million to actor Matt Damon's H20 Africa clean water project and announced the national distribution of its Ethos brand, which aims to raise $10 million by 2010. Meanwhile, Coke is working on a socially responsible water campaign that might launch this summer, according to reports.
