Florida solar power plant construction delayed

Florida Power & Light has delayed construction of a new $78.9 million solar power plant at Kennedy Space Center to accommodate NASA's launch schedule and obtain the necessary permits. Officials now believe construction will start in late May on the plant, which will produce enough power for 1,100 homes. The solar power plant should be completed in 2010, according to the Public Service Commission's 2008 annual report.
