The British actor boasts more than 150,000 followers for his opinionated posts on anything that crosses his mind. Financial Times columnist Mike Southon writes that the Fry phenomenon proves the Internet can create "genuine celebrity" rather than the manufactured kind, and shows that entrepreneurs "can successfully build their online brands as they choose, based on interaction with fans and customers."
