Illinois teacher barred from wearing respiratory mask at school

A veteran teacher with severe allergies has been banned from wearing a respiratory mask at her Illinois school, prompting her to file a federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission complaint. Patricia McReynolds said she has notes from three physicians saying the mask helps keep her healthy. McReynolds says district officials are worried the mask could disturb students or parents. They declined to comment.
