Budding educators focus on how to improve Chicago schools

Members of an Illinois State University student group called Urban Needs In Teacher Education recently hosted Project 43 -- a weekend of workshops for budding educators focused on relevant instruction and spurring student learning and achievement. The group and the university's Chicago Teacher Education Pipeline focus on recruiting and training teachers to work in high-needs urban schools.
