Canadian sourcing under "Buy American" eases projects

The deal between Canada and the U.S. permitting Canadian companies' participation in projects subject to Buy American rules has eased the sourcing process for some. Now that Canadian suppliers count under Buy American, contractors -- particularly on water and sewer projects -- won't have to scramble, according to Perry Fowler, director of governmental affairs for the Associated General Contractors of America.
