Chronic illness affects 26% of U.S. youths, study shows

A U.S. study showed 26.6% of children in 2006 had a chronic health condition, such as asthma, obesity or attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, up from 12.8% in 1994. However, researchers said the condition would resolve over time for about half of the children.
