NYC launches raccoon-vaccination drive

Wildlife experts on Tuesday began vaccinating raccoons in Central Park and surrounding areas in New York City in line with the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene's effort to protect the animals from rabies infection. Thirty-nine cases of rabies among raccoons in the city have been reported so far this year.
