5 tech trends predicted to transform teaching, learning

Augmented reality, extreme bring-your-own-device programs, big data, the semantic web and transmedia storytelling are poised to change teaching and learning, according to educational futurist Jason Ohler. Speaking recently at the International Society for Technology in Education's virtual conference, Ohler offered the example of BYOD, saying the trend is taking off beyond laptops and tablets, predicting that wearable technology will be used in the future.
