"Highly dependable" job market makes nursing a top career choice

Alabama has a "highly dependable" job market for nurses, according to Birdie Bailey, dean of the University of North Alabama College of Nursing, who says that's one reason more students in the state are working on nursing degrees than on any other degree program. Bailey said openings could increase if nurses who have put off retirement begin to leave the workforce in greater numbers.
