How "breakup" e-mails can get prospects to re-engage with your company

You may be able to rekindle a prospect's flagging interest by sending an e-mail indicating your intention to end your relationship with him or her, writes Anum Hussain of HubSpot. This strategy, however, will work only if you have set the stage properly. Make sure you have supplied the prospect with something of value, and don't be too quick to send a "breakup" e-mail, Hussain advises. "A sales breakup email is only effective if you've put in true effort to communicate and engage with your prospect," she writes.
