Study explores functional, health benefits of TAVR

Significant improvements in disease-related quality of life and physical function were associated with transcatheter aortic valve replacement, according to an analysis of 60 studies conducted between 2002 and 2013. Researchers called for "more comparative studies on functional status and quality of life" due to the study's survivor bias and lack of head-to-head trials.
