Army Master Sgt. Michael Trost was shot five times in Afghanistan in 2012 and has little use of his right leg. But now he is going through a rigorous physical fitness program, preparing to be fitted with the Intrepid Dynamic Exoskeletal Orthosis, which improves heel strike, places the toes at the proper angle and supports the leg. Although Trost is classified as physically unfit for duty, he hopes the IDEO will help him return to active duty.
