A new cast of characters joins the Magic Kingdom

The Walt Disney Co. yesterday said it has bought the Jim Henson Co.'s Muppet and Bear in the Big Blue House characters in a deal valued at $90 million. The two sides had been negotiating the deal for 14 years; both companies say the conclusion of the deal is not related to Comcast's hostile bid for the Magic Kingdom.
