Genetic profiling ban approved by Senate

The Senate yesterday unanimously approved legislation that would bar employers from using any genetic testing, such as screening for cancer or heart ailments, in hiring and firing decisions. The White House supports the bill, but the legislation could face opposition from pro-business entities in the House.
