Liberty stops office building construction on slow demand

Liberty Property Trust stopped construction on a 120,000-square-foot speculative office building in Minnesota. The stop comes four months after construction started and was prompted by slower-than-expected demand for commercial real estate. "We're just taking a pause here to say, 'Where is the economy going?' " said David Jellison, vice president and city manager for Liberty.
