Medical group endorses therapeutic use of marijuana

The American College of Physicians issued a statement urging the government to loosen restrictions on the use and study of marijuana in medicine. The statement noted the drug's ability to ease some symptoms, including nausea in patients undergoing chemotherapy and severe weight loss in HIV/AIDS patients.
