Some teachers prefer chalkboards over SMART Boards

As schools nationwide push for more classroom technology, the chalkboard has quickly been replaced by whiteboards and now interactive SMART Boards, but teachers in one California elementary school say they prefer the chalkboard and hope it is here to stay. "I can't imagine a classroom without a chalkboard," said fourth-grade teacher Anne Nichols. "My experience drawing [on a chalkboard] enables me to connect to the curriculum in a different way, which enables me to deliver [it] to my students in a more engaging way."
