Students learn real-life lessons in MicroSociety

Students at four California schools are operating their own "MicroSocieties" that include a functional government, businesses and a monetary system. The lessons allow students to link their schoolwork with real-life situations, and realize the important role that reading, math and other subjects will play in their future.
