UAVs to patrol Canadian border

After successful use along the Mexican border, Customs and Border Protection is bringing Predator B unmanned aircraft to the Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota. At a Monday ribbon-cutting for the first UAV unit on the northern border, officials praised the Predator's capabilities in disaster relief, search-and-rescue and drug interdiction. Though the aircraft "looks almost harmless," said Sen. Byron Dorgan, D-N.D., "it's the best weapon we have."
