DOE to create $130M research center for building efficiency

The Department of Energy will partner with several other government agencies to create a research center on building efficiency. The Obama administration announced $129.7 million in funding for the center, which will develop new technologies for building efficiency. Buildings account for 40% of carbon emissions in the U.S.
