Equine Health and Welfare Board under consideration in Kentucky

A push by veterinarians to create a Kentucky Equine Health and Welfare Board is aimed at helping to forge care standards and collect more reliable statistics about the state's horse population. "We need to face the grim side of our moral and ethical obligations to horses," said an equine veterinarian and a founding member of the Ky.-based Equine Health and Welfare Alliance.
