Georgia water conservation bill moves forward

Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue introduced legislation that would require low-flow toilets and other water-saving measures in new construction beginning in 2012. The bill cleared a committee and is expected to move into the full Georgia Senate. The proposal also requires separate water meters for apartments instead of one meter for an entire building.
