HHS needs to relax meaningful use requirements, panel says

The HHS Health IT Policy Committee urged the government to "exhibit some flexibility" in establishing meaningful use requirements for providers that qualify for financial incentives during their first year of eligibility in 2011. In addition, the committee recommended several revisions to the goals and metrics in the current version of the meaningful use rule.
