TransCanada secures construction permit for S.D. pipeline project

The Public Utilities Commission in South Dakota has cleared TransCanada's permit to build a crude-oil pipeline that will run across the state. The full pipeline would be capable of transporting as much as 900,000 barrels of crude per day from Canada's Alberta province to Gulf Coast terminals and Texas refineries.
