UN climate chief submits his resignation

The top United Nations official on climate change, Yvo de Boer, has announced his resignation, effective July 1, after four years at the helm of UN-led efforts to frame international climate action. De Boer, who is known to be disappointed with the result of the Copenhagen summit, said he believes the quest for an international climate change treaty remains on track.
