Having a supervisor who insists on interacting with employees on a social level can be awkward, but workers don't have to be the boss' buddy, writes Lily Garcia. They can either ask the boss to give them a chance to unwind without him or her, or just make plans privately. Or, they can include the boss sometimes, and discover "he is not so creepy after all."
