Analysts: Camera power has marginal effect on smartphone choice

Analysts expressed skepticism that powerful cameras alone will give handset makers HTC and Nokia a major push in smartphone sales. HTC reportedly today will unveil a M7 Android device equipped with three 4.3-megapixel sensors, while Nokia is readying the 808 PureView, its final Symbian-based handset, which will house 41 megapixels. "Good camera technology is certainly a requirement today, but it seems that good enough is enough," Gartner analyst Carolina Milanesi said.
