Insurers to pay for some accident-response services in Texas city

Missouri City, Texas, will bill insurers of at-fault drivers in an effort to recoup the costs of providing emergency-response services at vehicle crashes. Other Texas cities impose similar charges on insurers, Missouri City spokeswoman Stacie Walker said. The fees, which will take effect next month, will vary based on accident type and will go as high as $2,000.
