Vegetarian diets don't always lead to weight loss, dietitian says

Eating a vegetarian diet doesn't always mean losing weight because foods such as granola or veggie pizza still can be high in calories, registered dietitian Nicole German writes. A big problem is eating too many carbohydrates and not enough protein, German notes, and she recommends adding more leafy green vegetables, keeping track of food intake, limiting portions and avoiding white, processed breads and snack foods.
