Payment card compliance is lacking at many firms, report says

More than 82% of enterprises complied with 80% or more of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard last year, while only about one-third did so in 2012, according to a Verizon report. However, "we continue to see many organizations viewing PCI compliance as a single annual event, unaware that compliance needs to have a 365-day-a-year focus," said Rodolphe Simonetti of Verizon Enterprise Solutions.
