Some universities combine international studies with STEM

A session held during a recent conference on international education focused on broadening global-learning experiences for students majoring in science, technology, engineering and math. This article spotlights some successful college programs discussed during the session. Northern Arizona University's five-year Global Science and Engineering Program and Valparaiso's International Engineering Program, for example, allow students to double major in a STEM subject and a foreign language. Many such programs also include study-abroad opportunities.
