Teledermatology boosts access to quality care for rural patients

Dermatologists using photographs and patients' health information to evaluate patients very often reached the same conclusions as doctors who examined the patients in person, according to a study published in JAMA Dermatology. The small study found agreement in 90% of cases where the in-person visit called for a same-day consultation, and most of the differences involved management recommendations rather than diagnoses.
