Heinz To Help Produce Single-Serve Packets Of Iron "Sprinkles"

H.J. Heinz has named Dr. Stanley H. Zlotkin the first recipient of its Humanitarian Award for creating Supplefer Sprinkles, iron powder granules that help combat anemia. The company says it has pledged technical and operational support to produce the supplement. "We're not a pharmaceutical company, but the technology is very familiar to us," says F. Kerr Dow, Heinz's vice president of nutrition and technical affairs.
