Dreyer's buys U.S. Haagen-Dazs franchise

General Mills sold its U.S. Haagen-Dazs ice cream shop franchise to Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream Inc., giving Dreyer's control of 236 ice cream parlors in the U.S. and Canada, the company announced Wednesday. General Mills will still control the Haagen-Dazs brand outside the U.S., a spokeswoman said.
