New York pedestrian signs revised to international symbols

New York's Walk/Don't Walk pedestrian traffic signs have become easier to understand: They all have been replaced with international symbols of a person walking and an outstretched hand warning pedestrian's to stop. Mayor Michael Bloomberg says the signs, powered by light-emitting diodes, will save the city a projected $6.3 million in energy costs.
