Green rules proposed for Los Angeles developers

City Council members in Los Angeles have voted to approve a plan to require all major commercial and residential developments to adopt green measures such as reducing energy and water use and using recycled materials. Under the proposal, privately built projects would be required to follow a checklist of green features based on LEED guidelines.
