Social tools can enhance team building

Once corporate managers see social media as an extension of team-building activities or networking lunches, they will be able to use internal social-networking tools to benefit their organization, writes Steve Radick. He recommends fostering online discussions about topics that are unrelated to work, adding photos to employees' intranet profiles and establishing a "reputation management system" to reward workers who participate in internal social networking.
