Urban Outfitters to study European shoppers

Urban Outfitters plans to take its time and study the European consumer as it adds to its international store base. Unlike other US apparel chains that stock European stores with the same products they sell stateside, Urban Outfitters operates a London-based design studio to create fashions more likely to appeal to European buyers. The chain expects to open five new stores in Europe this year, along with a second location for its Anthropologie brand in London.
