Green roof to sprout atop building on Ohio college campus

A 12,000-square-foot green roof will soon be installed on Howlett Hall at Ohio State University. The installation is expected to capture about 200,000 gallons of stormwater runoff annually, and save more than $10,000 yearly on energy costs. The leaky membrane on the existing roof needs to be replaced before work on the vegetated roof can begin.
