Study: Finasteride doesn't boost prostate cancer survival

Taking finasteride didn't improve survival for men with prostate cancer compared to a placebo, according to a study presented at the annual Genitourinary Cancers Symposium. Researchers tracked 18,000 men and found a similar rate of all-cause mortality between men who took finasteride and those who took a placebo.
