Dermatologists performed more skin cancer, cosmetic procedures in 2013

Skin cancer procedures were the most commonly performed dermatologic procedure last year, according to an ASDS survey that found dermatologic surgeons conducted 9.5 million treatments in 2013. The number of skin cancer treatments rose 13% to surpass 3 million. Laser, phototherapy and energy treatments increased by 34%. Wrinkle-relaxing injections increased 20%, and soft tissue fillers were up 8.6%.
